The Australian Innovation Festival
The [Australian or Council Name] Innovation Festival is a one-day, interactive workshop specially designed to help Primary (Grade 3 to 6), Secondary students (Grade 7 to 12) and Young Adults aged 17 to 24 years come together for a day of creativity and innovation to develop the skills and mindset they need to become entrepreneurs, innovators, creatives, engineers, scientists and small business owners.
We can cater for up to 550 students per day with Local Councils or Innovation Hubs funding the Festival.
The One Day Festival is split into 3 phases:
Phase 1 - Inspiration & Empowerment. Students will hear from local changemakers, business leaders and inspirational figures. They’ll also set goals for their future by creating a visualisation board.
Phase 2 - Ideation. Students will participate in a group networking activity and will be invited to identify local problems and brainstorm innovative micro-business solutions to solve them. They will also put together a 3 minute investment pitch as a group.
Phase 3 - Soft Skills. Students will learn to become comfortable with public speaking and communication. The day will wrap up with students delivering their investment pitches to a panel of guest judges who represent the local business community.

"I didn't think I would get given an opportunity like this. It is amazing to learn how to take your ideas and turn them into money and make positive change!"
